Michael Taylor, CCC-SLP
Founder & Clinical Director
Michael Taylor is a nationally certified speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of clinical experience supporting clients across the lifespan—from toddlers building their first words to adults regaining communication after illness or injury. He earned his Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Carolina University (2010) and his Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Indiana University Bloomington (2002).
Michael has spent much of his career working with children in educational and clinical settings, partnering with families and schools to support speech, language, and learning. He has extensive experience treating a broad range of pediatric communication challenges, including speech sound disorders, language delays and developmental language disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, social communication difficulties, and receptive and expressive language difficulties.
Michael is also experienced in working with children and teens on the autism spectrum, including those with complex communication needs and those using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). With experience as both an in person and telehealth provider, he has seen the powerful progress that can come from virtual services—especially for families seeking flexibility, consistency, or access to specialized support they may not find locally.
In addition to his pediatric expertise, Michael has worked extensively with adults in rehabilitation settings—helping individuals recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and neurodegenerative conditions regain speech, language, and cognitive-communication abilities.
Michael founded ClearConnect to deliver high-quality, individualized therapy through telehealth—combining clinical excellence with convenience and compassion. His approach is grounded in empathy, family partnership, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel confident and connected through communication.
